Holland
Golf in Tulip Season
24 April – 2 May 2025
This is a destination so many people have been waiting for...
...and now it’s yours to enjoy!
You won’t believe it until you experience it yourself!!!
It took us 4 years of researching and planning our first Holland tour
to ensure our clients got the very best golfing holiday experience.
And every year we have added to the itinerary.
And the most acclaimed addition has been the internationally renowned……
KEUKENHOF TULIP FESTIVAL
The tour has been structured to give everyone the flexibility they would like….between golf, visiting Keukenhof and time spent exploring Amsterdam. Holland is the perfect destination for your 2025 golfing holiday.
Thursday 24 April
We assemble at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and transfer by coach through the fields of annual tulips to our hotel in Zaandam, just north of Amsterdam.
Zaandam is surrounded by fields filled with canals, waterways, flower lined streets, the buzz of restaurants on Central Square, art & craft shops, coffee shops & bars and the historical waterfront, making this the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful scenery and the golf courses of Holland.
After settling in, a short orientation walk through picturesque Zaandam will invigorate the travel weary...and as the sun sets a drink and dinner in one of the many restaurants along the waterfront of Hoorn is a perfect way to start discovering the local brews, cheeses and cuisine!
Friday 25 April
Every Friday morning the central square of Alkmaar hosts the weekly cheese market, made famous by its porters carrying the loads of cheese in their unique “run”. After enjoying the spectacle of the cheese auction, the golfers proceed to the ever-popular SLUISPOLDER GC which winds through the natural vegetation of a river and wetlands. The non-golfers have a couple of hours to enjoy and explore the old and new of Alkmaar, before re-joining the golfers at the club and returning to our hotel.
And naturally, all our coach transfers will be on the lookout for the endless fields of tulips…
Saturday 26 April
After breakfast we take the local train to the Central Station in Amsterdam for a full-day visit to the world’s most recognisable city. Return train tickets are included in your tour package.
The list of optional attractions is endless and includes:
o A canal cruise
o The Rembrandt Museum
o The van Gogh Museum
o Anne Frank House
o Dam Square, the centre of Amsterdam
o Damrak, the main thoroughfare of Amsterdam and numerous pedestrian malls
o The floating Flower Market
o The canals of Amsterdam
Sunday 27 April
Nothing you have ever been told or have ever read quite prepares you for a visit to the Keukenhof Tulip Festival, certainly the world’s most famous flower extravaganza.
And rightly so.
From the stylised entrance to the hothouses to see how tulips are grown, to the endless fields of splashes of colour, to the tulip lined streams and lakes, to the “contemplate zone” where visitors sit in silence and take it all in, this is certainly a bucket-list day and a top-10 life experience. And that’s before you take out your camera!
Monday 28 April
Everyone who travels to Holland has their own bucket list of “must see while we are here” sightseeing, places to visit and experiences to enjoy.
So today has been kept free to allow time to do just what you want to do…
* KEUKENHOF REVISIT: some will want to return to KEUKENHOF to soak up more of the world’s
most famous flower exhibition
* AMSTERDAM REVISIT: the galleries and museums are just too many and varied to take it all
in on a single day
* MORE GOLF: easily arranged and always enjoyed
* CYCLE ALONG THE DYKE: rent a bicycle or e-cycle and explore along the dykes of Holland and
visit picturesque villages along the way
* ZAANSE SCHANS: Visit the acclaimed living museum and learn more about the history and
culture of Dutch life…. Including Henri Willig’s cheese factory to see how the Dutch have mastered the making of cheese and get the chance to taste the wide variety of cheeses.
* LOCAL BUS TO EDAM AND VOLENDAM: A relaxing optional experience filled with culture, scenery and the choice of a variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy along the way. A short stop in Edam is a must….for cheese! Then a short ride to the colourful town of Volendam, which was built behind a dyke and like almost half of the country lies below sea level. The top of the dyke is today lined with varied shops, restaurants and a number of tourist attractions. With so many restaurants .... seafood and cheese take on a whole new meaning in Volendam.

This morning we head to SPAARNWOUDE GC, which is a typical Dutch golf course… a mixture of water, lush vegetation and scenic beauty and SPAARNWOUDE is a fine example of this very unique blend.
